The company was formerly the national second-level enterprise Ningbo Donghai Battery Factory, which↓ was founded in 1968. It was a backbone enterprise designatedβ by the former Ministry of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to specialize in εthe production of various types of lead-acid batteries. In 1996, it was restructured int&o Ningbo Donghai Battery Co., Ltd.
The company has the right to import and export on its own. It is currently the vice εchairman unit of the China Lead-acid Battery Industry Associati©on and one of the drafting units of national standards.≥ In 1990, it obtained the export quality license for electroβmechanical products and the factory type approval of the China Ship Inspection Soci↑ety. In the same year, the "Donghai Brand" battery won the first prize in the natio©nal battery industry quality evaluation. The company has successfully passed the ISO9001 quality sy™stem certification, the CE certification of the NB2968 qualified laboδratory (in compliance with the new EU battery regulations) and the Zhe¶jiang manufacturing "quality" mark certification.
