The company was formerly the national second-level enterprise Ningbo Donghai Batter™y Factory, which was founded in 1968. It was a backbone enterprise designated by th e former Ministry of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to specialize in the production o®f various types of lead-acid batteries. It was restruc™tured into Ningbo Donghai Battery Co., Ltd. in 1996.

The company has the right to import and export on its own. It is currently the ↓vice chairman unit of the China Lead-acid Battery Indust≤ry Association and one of the drafting units of national standards. In 1ε990, it obtained the export quality license for electromechanical products and th•e factory type approval of the China Ship Inspection Society. In the same year, the ¶"Donghai Brand" battery won the first prize in the national batterλy industry quality evaluation. The company has successfully passed the ISO9001 qualiσty system certification, the CE certification of the NB2968 qualified laboratory (in compliance σwith the new EU battery regulations) and the Zhejiang manufacturin♦g "product" mark certification.

The company has advanced production and testing equipment, specializing in the production of ≈automotive, marine, electric forklift, motorcycle and valve-controll≤ed sealed lead-acid batteries, adopting and referring to internatio​nal standards such as IEC, JIS, DIN, BCI, SAE, etc. Based on ensuring product qual≤ity, the company has passed important quality system certifications in the domest↕ic and foreign automotive industries, followed the IATF 16949 world a→uto parts industry quality management system, and organized production to ensure that Don♦ghai products are sold all over the world!
